Under direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Assistant Director develops, manages and executes overall strategies for all marketing and communications on behalf of St. Pius X High School to increase visibility and deliver consistent messaging to internal and external constituencies. This position is responsible for designing and producing digital and print materials, maintaining visual brand standards and supporting digital communications efforts including website updates and social media content.</p><p><strong>Mission</strong></p><p>Prayer, Study, Community, Preaching – this is Dominican education at St. Pius X High School. Inspired by <em>Veritas</em>, young men and women embrace academic excellence and integrity, celebrate the community's diverse gifts and heritage, and embody social justice and service.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Under the Director of Marketing and Communications and in collaboration with various campus departments and community partners, develop and execute projects, campaigns and strategies to advance the mission of St. Pius X. Position responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Ensure that marketing and communications content, both printed and digital, reflects brand standards and meets mission-aligned goals. </li><li>Assist in creating dynamic content for the website, social media platforms and other communication channels to share our story and engage multiple audiences and constituency groups.</li><li>Use data analytics to track progress and monitor trends to refine strategies and content to maximize reach towards desired target audiences.</li><li>Optimize marketing materials for search engines and social media algorithms.</li><li>Design visual assets for marketing and communications projects including newsletters, flyers, posters, digital graphics, banners, and other printed and digital materials. </li><li>Develop, script, shoot and edit short-form and conventional videos for the school website, social media platforms and other communication channels.</li><li>Manage photography and video production needs for various school events.</li><li>Maintain a highly organized filing and asset management system for digital images, videos and equipment. </li><li>Support production timelines and project organization.</li><li>Monitor trends in social media and digital marketing and stay current on marketing industry standards and innovation through a commitment to ongoing professional development</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Commitment to embrace the Catholic Mission and Dominican Charism at St. Pius X High School.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field.</li><li>3+ years of professional communications or marketing experience.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to articulate the unique educational mission of St. Pius X, knowledge of AP writing style required.</li><li>Strong marketing, communications and creative skills across multiple mediums, ranging from copywriting to graphic design to videography and photography.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Premier Pro) is required. </li><li>Experience with developing content and managing campaigns on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) is required. </li><li>Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Finalsite, Blackbaud products (Raiser’s Edge, MySchool App, etc.) and other communication platforms is preferred. </li><li>Understanding of common digital marketing analytics, search engine optimization, lead generation and advertising. </li><li>Ability and enthusiasm to perform in a fast-paced environment paired with organizational and project management skills to manage a broad scope of activities with multiple deadlines and collaborators.</li><li>Ability to act with professionalism in all environments, display strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, and understanding the need for discretion and confidentiality when appropriate.</li><li>Completion of Safe Haven environment training.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><p>The conditions herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
